How to calculate the average gas mileage of the vehicle?

2012 ford mustang

Cost to drive 25 miles: $4.26

Fuel to drive 25 miles:1.09 gallons

25 divided by 1.09= 22.93 mpg

When you fill up write down the miles. Next fill up write down the miles add mileage and divide by gallons used as in if you went 250 miles and used 10 gallons then 250 divided by 10
