What's the proper way to hook up these speakers?
I picked up a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 for a pretty rediculously low price. It does have some cosmetic issues. The only one I don't have any experience with is speakers. The front two speakers (in the door) were deffinatly not installed correctly. When I give them power the work fine but how do I do this right?
Connect the Positive speaker output from the amp or head-unit to the fatter terminal on the speaker - and the Negative speaker output from the amp or head-unit to the thinner terminal on the speaker. It will be obvious if the music is coming through loud and clear - it will equally be obvious if they are wired 'out of phase' and the speaker is trying to send bass thru the tweeters and treble thru the woofer part of the speaker, as it will sound muddy and just.plain.wrong.
The best way to tackle things such as this is always to have the help of someone who has done it all before, and can show you what to do, what not to do, and tell you why. How about adding a photo of your Mach1 in a question Edit? I only know what a 1970's Mach1 looks like, I'm in the UK.
Here's the picture you asked about.
- What is Ford's excuse for not reporting this alleged crime 36 years ago when a proper investigation could have been done? Even if you say that the police would have not taken it seriously back then, it would still have been on file and came up during the FBI background check.
- I simply can't see these political posers - Blasey-Ford and now Ramirez - as assault victims the way I do actual assault victims. How? Can anyone not see this for what it is? A desperate political party with no scruples staging an all-out, childish smear campaign. The impact of crying wolf will backfire on them this Friday and in November. But FAR WORSE is the impact it will have on the actual victims of sexual assault. Are they happy?
- Will these speakers fit in my truck? The speakers are Pioneer TS-A6885R 6" x 8" 4-Way TS Series Coaxial Car Speakers. I have a 1997 ford f150 extended cab.
