Can't get the key less remote on 2000 Ford Mustang?
I have two keyless remotes for my car and both don't work when I'm outside my car…
HOWEVER, it works perfectly fine when my driver side door is open. When I lock it with the door open, it honks twice instead of once to confirm the alarm is armed.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this, or just any possible problems?

Hi yes it means you need top spend MONEY getting it fixed.
Ford usually put the remote receiver inside the driver's door, so that may explain the door needing to be open. As to the remotes not working all the time, a factory dealer car re-program the remotes for you.

- What's a good year to buy a used 4cyl Ford Ranger for around or less than $2000? I'm in the market for a used ford ranger. I'm looking for the extended cab with a 4cyc engine. I've got less than $2000 to spend, my question is what's a good year to look for with that engine, and maybe some bad years to avoid? Btw, I live in los angeles, CA. So I'm not worried about rust, or it being to old, if it was maintained well is the main thing. I know at that price range I can't expect much.

Is it possible of I have a 2003 Ford Ranger that has 2 keys only to be programmed and have a key fob or remote to lock and unlock the truck? Is it possible to get a remote that locks and unlocks the truck like most new vehicles have?

I have a 2005 mustang I have the ford remote that came with car already programmed and working but I have a GM remote that I was wanting to try to program so we can have 2 remotes will this work or am i wasting time thanks for any help.
