3.8l ford mustang somthing broke?
I normally drive like an old lady and never do anything anybody would frown upon but I had a strong urge to let my innner teen out and drift in a parking lot for a sec. Well not soon later iI leave the parking lot and stop at a stop sign and my car starts making black smoke from under the hood. So I open it and there's oil all over the left side of the motor and it looks like a splash like something broke in a blaze of glory. There's small pools about 4centimeters deep around the fuel injection whatcould of happened? I know it was a smart choice to drift in the parking lot and I regret it so no lectures about safety please lol.
It could be any number of component within the engine block that failed, sounds like your oil levels needed checking and possibly changing - ie mechanical failure due to poor lubrication
- My 1995 ford ranger broke its transmission? We thought it was a transfer case but it ended up breaking a price inside the transmission. I don't know what it is called but it goes from the front all the way into the transfer case. And it also snapped the bracket that goes between the transmission and transfer case.
- Can a bad thermostat in a car cause the tempature guage in the dash to not work? Or is the guage itself broke? I have a 1991 Ford ranger and have no idea if the engine is overheating because the gauge doesn't work. Thermostat or gauge? Of its the gauge do I have to replace the whole cluster?
