Seems wicked high.
Seems about twice what it should be.
Hi so what do you expect from a worn engine it needs to be idling at this speed to keep running as alter internal parts of the engine are so worn. What do you expect is the result of years of use.
That's way too high. Adjust the idle. Maybe the throttle cable is stuck. Ckean and lube and adjust it. If the car dies at the correct idle, that shows you the engine is in bad shape as you should expect.
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- What is consider high millage on a mustang? I been searching for a mustang between 1985-1996 and I'm wondering how long do these ford engine run for before they wear down 80k 90k 100k 150k?
- Is a 2003 Ford Mustang good for this price? There's a guy selling 2003 ford mustang, clean and well taken care of, 103,000km on my local classifieds for $3900. I'm on edge on buying a car though as there's just too many cost involved. Would I be able to resell this if I decide I don't want it? How much would it be worth?
- 1988 mustang gt running rich with idle issues? Hi, first of all just want to let you know its not a vaccuum leak. Freshly built 347. It idles eractic on cold start but then evens out and the cam lopes normally. Idle hangs for a minute if I hit the gas. Throttle cable is not hanging up either. After it reaches operating temperature the idle raises about 2 to 300 rpm? It also is running rich. I cleaned maf and the idle bypass. Thermostat is a 180 degree. I just don't know what else to look at.
