Most reliable pick up trucks under 10,000?
I have to get a new car and I'm set on getting a pick up truck. However, my budget is low, so I'm expecting something from 2000 to 2005. Basically, I want to know from someone with FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE (emphasis on that) what kind of truck would be best as a daily driver. I really want a dodge but I'd settle for a ford or Chevy if it was the right choice. I read a lot of reviews online and it's making it very difficult because it seems that a lot of trucks are infamous for something going wrong. I need something that will keep going as long as regular maintenance is done.
F150.
The only truck I've had under $10,000 was a 2002 Ford Ranger 4x4. I loved that truck and it would smoke the tires with the 4.0 SOHC engine and 4.10 rear axle, but unfortunately the previous owners let it get too rusty to keep for long, so I traded it for a new F-150. I've always had pretty good luck with Fords. Hell there's a reason the F-Series has been the best selling vehicle in the US for 38 years…
- What is the most reliable car brand? I know how long a car runs/how reliable it is, all has to do with the owner and how well said car is maintained… But generally, what car brand (eg Ford, Toyota, Chevy) lasts the longest, is the most reliable?
- What are the most reliable cars you can think of? I want something relatively new, but it doesn't have to be brand spanking new. So far I was thinking a Volkswagen Jetta. I was also liking Subaru, but I don't know whether the impreza or legacy is better. I also like Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis'. Are Jeep wranglers reliable as well? Mention any car you like and why, Hmu with your best suggestion!
- What are the most reliable car brands and which ones should I avoid? I'm looking to get a used car. I have even heard about two lesser known Japanese brands, Subaru and Suzuki, but I'm a bit skeptical of Suzuki in particular. I'm honestly not a supporter of Mitsubishi and Mazda. I would not say having AWD/4WD is necessary for me. It is not very snowy where I live. The reason I said that I do not like Mazda was because it used to be partnered with Ford and I do not like American car companies. I'm not so keen on German cars.
- Most reliable transit van 2001-2004? I'm looking to buy a ford transit van for my landscaping company either swb or lwb not really to bothered. I just want to know what the best most reliable engine is to go for? I would like a little bit of poke but not essential would rather reliability.
