Red oil substance leaking from Ford Ka?

I have a manual 2001 ford Ka petrol, only today i noticed that when stopping/ pulling away the car started to judder and seem as if it was going to stall. I also noticed that it was very difficult to put into gear. When i parked it at home i noticed that there was a sizable puddle of reddish oil like liquid on the floor. Any idea where its coming from? And how to fix it?

More specific please

Hi red oil is sometimes brake fluid so it could be a leaking master cylinder or a power steering pump or steering rack.

Probably transmission fluid. But do you have power steering. Check that too.

Its probably transmission fluid. Odds are you have a leak coming from under the car. You will probably have to get under the car to see where it is coming from. If its too oily to tell where the leak is coming from, you will need to wipe the oil off, drive the car down the block and check again to get a better idea of where the fluid is leaking.

Red oil is most likely going to be Transmission Oil. That would explain the hard shifts. Your best bet is to find where it is leaking and repair that area, sounds like it cracked or a seal has gone bad.
