I'm a Trump supporter and want Kavanaugh confirmed, but you are wrong. Without dropping that 11th hour accusation, Kavanaugh would have been confirmed by now.

It was also an example of DNC hypocrisy since Garland was nominated during Obama's last year in office when the Democrats previously demanded that USSC vacancies not be filled by the outgoing President if it was in their last year in office. I agree the DNC expected the Republicans to wimp-out and let the allegations cause delay after delay until Kavanaugh's confirmation was put on hold indefinitely. The DNC also expected to have no adverse consequences from their blatantly false claims of misconduct by Kavanaugh. Instead, their attempt to change the standard of justice in the USA from "innocent until proven guilty" to "allegation = guilty" (if the allegation is approved of by the Left) will motivate many conservatives who otherwise might not have bothered to vote in November to vote.

A true example of how faulty Trumpkin logic is. Kav may get confirmed, but it won't be due to Feinstein. At the very least she has turned a certain confirmation into a huge political win no matter what happens. Kav may be innocent, but the GOP is sure acting guilty and that is playing poorly (according to Fox News Polls) with voters.

It is the this whole "silly little story" attitude that is pushing women and independents to the democrats. There's only one side that is asking for an impartial investigation. Instead the GOP is trying a smear campaign and rushing the vote.
