Is there any one who knows how the rain water gets into my car?
My Ford freestyle 2007 gets wet on the drivers side floor when it rains, the water does not come from the roof of the car or the wind shield (I have replaced and put a new wind shield) and I have tested the sun roof for leaks)
Fords are problematic with this. Below the windshield there's a vent cover or something letting water in.
Ask a mechanic to check for clogged drains.
Water goes in the air vents just in front of the windshield.
Cars have different ways of draining this water away.
Otherwise it gets into the heater A/C unit and all over the floor.
These drains are on or near the firewall and sometimes they get clogged
The A/C condensate water drain may be blocked as well.
Usually a mechanic will use an air hose to blow up into the drain from underneath.
Well wiper transmissions is a likely place to look and so would the heater and a/c connections. There's also the chance of a seam leaking.
The sunroof drains down the windshield pillars could still be clogged with debris… Common issue… Check those if needed. Or the cowl area below the windshield could have a split seam/leak. Some water leaks can also come from a clogged AC system drain which causes water/condensate to overflow onto the interior floor… Or rainwater from the cowl area flows down into the HVAC ductwork and can't drain properly. Were you using the AC system when it leaks onto floor? Check the AC drain tube to see if it flows water /condensate out properly or is clogged.
Car dealers or water leak companies can do some tests to check for leaks in the body sealing areas or structure. Typically, a person sits or lays inside the vehicle with a flashlight to spot leaks and pulls back any carpet or trim in the suspected leak areas while another person is outside to run water or spray over various parts of the body… Starting from the lowest point and working up. You can also look for whiteish tracks from previous leaks on the interior body surfaces behind the dash. Or shine bright lights in the cowl area or door seals, etc. And look from inside to spot holes in seams, etc. Caulk any leak areas with silicone caulk or replace seals, clean out sunroof drains, etc. May need to remove windshield cowl screens or wiper motor systems to access cowl leak areas.

Do you have a cowl vent? It is the vent in front of the windshield on most vehicles. It usually acts as the fresh air intake for cars that no longer have side vent windows, and allows fresh air into the cabin and heater area. You could have something cracked or loose. Generally, there's also a vent pipe to drain any rainwater it catches out of the car through the hood area or floor area. The vent pipe could be stopped up and you may have an overflow, or it the vent itself inside the car can be cracked or loose. You might be able to check by spraying water at the vent area in front of your windshield and see if you are getting water into the floorboard this way. I would suggest a heater hose leak, but if you have anti-freeze in your radiator, you would be able to smell the leak and tell right away. Also, the heater core could leak, but same thing, and it is located in the passenger area, not the driver area.
Check the floor under the carpet, there may be a hole
It knocks on the window, gives the secret password and then the trunk monkey lets it in.

- Why so many people believe Christine Ford's story when nobody she named knows what she is talking about and there are? So many details missing AND the timing is very suspicious? Is it that people "believe" her mostly because they WANT to believe her as a way to get back at Trump and stop his agenda?
- Blue marks on the inside of my car door(on the leather part) from rain? I went to the gym, it was hot and sunny so i l left my windows cracked, then started pouring. When i went inside i see blueish marks from the rain. Is it permanent? Do i need to get new leather frabic for my car or can i clean off the stains with a special cleaner? I have a 2017 ford mustang ecoboost
- I have a 2013 Ford Fusion, I just purchased warranty replacement tires on the car in December. The car is worse in the rain now than before? The tires only have 3,000-4,000 miles, but they are hydroplaning worse that the previous bald tires. They are not off brand tires, but Michelin's. Would like to know if there's anything that can be done.
