Wouldn't surprise. At least some plants. I don't know about corporate. More and more are going there it seems. We bought a Honda HR-V. Turns out they're made there.

I think I have heard that. I don't buy Fords anyhow. Just a waste of money. Like I tell my kids, if you want to look good going somewhere get a Ford. If you want a decent chance of getting back home, get a GM or Dodge.

Welcome to the world of globalization. Remember… Where they 'make' something is just final assembly. Tons of the sub-assemblies are made in China and other places.

I don't care… Really. I mean. What was Made in the USA ever good for but tons of recalls and and being left on the side of the road. Just ask anyone with a 90s Taurus or Windstar about their transmission problems or a 90s Aerostar or Explorer with their spontaneous fires. Heck… Even the 1.6L Escapes have had their fair share of fires.

I'm thinking about the loss of jobs and now Carrier Corp is moving to Mexico and there will be 1,400 jobs loss so with no job here as it is who will have the money to buy it when they try to sell it back to us

Ford has had plants in Mexico for awhile, as do General Motors, Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Nissan, Honda, and Toyota…
Ford said it would be building and expanding (at the cost of $2.5bn) its engine and transmission factories in the northern and central states of Chihuahua and Guanajuato, nothing about a corporate relocation. No USA job loss, just no gain…

They are not moving to mexico they are just opening another plant there they have plants in russia germany england pretty much all around the world

Ford is moving production of some cars from the USA to Mexico (where it already builds plenty of cars for the North American market). It is not moving its corporate headquarters, nor is it closing any US plants, it is simply moving the production of less-profitable cars to a lower-wage country to free up space in the US plants for more profitable light trucks.
As I'm in the UK, and Ford stopped producing cars here in about 2002 (but still produces millions of engines here) it won't affect my decision about whether or not to buy a Ford. Any Ford bought here is unlikely to be built in either the USA or Mexico - unless it is a Mustang (just introduced for the first time ever to the UK market) or an Edge (possibly coming later this year) it would be built in Germany, Spain, Romania, Turkey, India or Poland.

There's rumor that they might Focus and C-Max production to Mexico in order to make room for upcoming models.

Ford has had plants in mexico for a while… And you can thank the american autoworkers unions for that.
