Is it possible to swap my roadmaster sedan axle with one from a impala ss?

Ok so my rear trailing arms broke and i'm doing an engine swap from a lt1 to an ls based motor so i figured i might as well start buying parts to rebuild a stronger rear with bigger gears while getting disk brakes instead of the drums i can get an impala rear for a little over 100 is it possible that it will bolt right in or what changes will i need to make i was alson thinking of a ford 9 in because of its strength

Take good measurements before you start to be certain the new axle assembly will fit

Should be the same car, if they are the same year, just under a different name. Not sure, but check for a station wagon Buick - It MIGHT have a stronger axle…

If they are the same year model they will for sure, both are built on the GM 'B Body' platform and are pretty much identical except for interior trim and a few body parts.

  • Should i purchase a Chevrolet Impala? I'm considering a 2016 with low miles, love the look and the performance… Anyone tell me if they like or dislike their own Impala? Toss up between this and the Ford Taurus.
  • Possible engine swap from 3.0 to 4.0 on 1994 Ford Ranger XL 4x4 manual? I'm wondering if I can drop a V6 4.0L engine straight into a V6 3.0L Ford Ranger XL? Both are 1994 ford rangers, everything the same as far as model/year just different size engine… And if not, what would need to be converted? I found a 4.0 for $250 with 0 miles so if its as simple as swapping engines/trannys I'm going to go for it… Thanks for help!
  • Is it possible to get a vehicle without a key fob or remote and program one to it? I'm curious because I'm unsure. Is it possible of I have a 2003 Ford Ranger that has 2 keys only to be programmed and have a key fob or remote to lock and unlock the truck? Is it possible to get a remote that locks and unlocks the truck like most new vehicles have?
  • I'm looking for either a 1970 Chevy Impala, a 68-72 Mustang, or a 69 Camaro? See my Dad has this tradition that the. "Boys" get a car of their choice, but they have too take the time and put the dedication in too fix it up. My older sister and I are insane tomboys and she got the opportunity too fix a car, now I'm being offered one. She got a 69 Ford Maverick. I was hoping for a 70 Impala, a 68-72 Mustang, or a 69 Camaro too fix up. I really really love those three classics and would rather have one of the three.
