Is it fair to say that the GOP hired a woman to question Ford because they know they can't be fair and respectful towards her?

That woman worked for Joe Arpaio. Not fair.

Sort of. They don't trust themselves to appear fair and respectful, and they don't care about substance here, only appearance.

They chose a female, women's advocate to be sensitive to Ford's fragile mental condition.

It's fair to say that they made that choice because they knew Dems would claim that a bunch of white men wouldn't be fair to her. Might as well cut the b.s. Off at the pass.

They are somewhat kissing *** but what is new?

They remember the questioning of Ms. Anita Hill and how it revealed a great deal more about the questioners than it revealed about Ms. Hill and her allegations and hope to avoid this sort of self revelation with disingenuous "But it wasn't me personally who put that question to Ms. Ford" excuses.
