I need Ford 302 engine identified I can't find anywhere?

I haven't been able to find the block casting info anywhere I have the number which are D4DE-8015-BA everyone keeps telling me it's 6015 not 8015 but every casting number from the heads to the block all say 8015 and I have photos to prove it so please if anyone knows what I have I would like to know

1974 year

Its a 1974. For future reference, Il list what certain casting numbers mean by using your numer as a reference.
D4DE-8015-BA
1st position =decade
B=1950-59
C=1960-69
D=1970-79
E=1980-89
F=1990-99
2nd position =year of decade
yours is 4 so 1974
3rd position =car line
A=Ford
D=Falcon
G=Comet, Montego, Cyclone
J=Marine and Industrial
M=Mercury
O=Fairlane and Torino
S=Thunderbird
T=Ford Truck
V=Lincoln
W=Cougar
Z=Mustang
4th position =engineering group
A=chassis group
B=body group
E=engine group
Four digit number =the basic part number
The basic part number tells you what the basic part is. For example-6015 is a cylinder block,9510 is a carb, etc
The last character is the suffix. The suffix indicates the revision under the part number.
A=original part
B=first revision
C=second revision
D=third revision
Its not unusual to see AA or AB and so on in cylinder head casting suffix.
The book I'm using for this info has a picture of an engine block and the part number in the casting is indeed 6015.

  • What Ford vehicles with a 302 motor comes with a 4 barrel carb (and only comes 302 with a 4bc)? I have a 1989 mustang gt motor and I'm making it carbureted and I'm looking for any vehicle with a 302 that carries a 4b. I'm going to a junkyard where they don't help with finding vehicles, so it would be helpful to know what vehicles only have a 302 with a 4bc, that way I can look it up on the website and know exactly where its at.
  • Good fun practical go anywhere do everything car? So I'm looking for a car that can go anywhere and do anything. Any suggestions? Main interest is something sporty but also lots of room. A few examples that I'm interested in are Ford Focus RS and Subaru WRX STI, but they are a little above my budget, something at or under $30k. I'm not looking to get a WRX, and also preferably 4 wheel drive. Preferably reasonably fast as well.
  • Coolant draining from parked car but no leak identified? I drive a 2002 Ford Focus. I've been noticing my coolant draining fairly quickly, and my car has come close to overheating a couple times. I took it to a shop, who told me 3 times there was no leak, and that the issue was with the fan. Is this normal or should I try another shop?
