Good fun practical go anywhere do everything car?
So I'm looking for a car that can go anywhere and do anything. Any suggestions?
Main interest is something sporty but also lots of room. A few examples that I'm interested in are Ford Focus RS and Subaru WRX STI, but they are a little above my budget, something at or under $30k. I'm not looking to get a WRX, and also preferably 4 wheel drive. Preferably reasonably fast as well.
I sounds like your looking for something a little smaller but after always owning cars(mustangs) I bought an 07' 4Runner and I love it! Freeway speeds and 4wd. Its big enough to sleep in when I'm camping or on a long road trip. My buddy got a Toyota fj and put a turbo on it. It's no wrx, but it's a sleeper for sure.
You say you want something like a WRX STI but cheaper and in the next sentence you say you don't want a WRX? Why?
How about a Honda Civic Si?
How can a 21 year old afford a $30k car?
A good second hand Jeep Wrangler
Do you really think either of those cars can "go anywhere"?

- Everything you know about this engine? 96 Mustang that my friend owns. Their ex husband bought this for them years ago. We're not sure if any of this is factory or all rebuilt, or if it is Ford or other? Any details on this would be great. Thank you!
