I have 1 more year to pay off my car should i start car shopping now?

So my 04 jeep GC with 160k owing $6,000 will be paid off by May of 2017, Should i start car shopping now that way once it's paid off for. I can just trade it in somewhere and take that money to make my payoff lower on the new car?
Obviously big dealers won't give me a loan but small ones can. I even went to verify with them…
and no i didn't buy that ugly *** Buick from Ford with my 570 Credit now

Added (1). Like for example these guys said $2500 down and $500 a month for like 3 years… Might not do it though…

  • Union Pasific Car Shopping? So my father is an engineer for UP, 2-3 years now. I know it depends on the state, but how much of a discount is the "Supplier Discount"? I've heard up to 15%? I live in TX. I don't want to ask the dealer at Ford or Kia, i was told to see what's the lowes i can get the final sale and THEN show them the UP discount offer, and they have to lower it. Has anyone used their UP discount at a dealership? Is it 15% or 1%?
  • Why did my car start and die when put into gear? Now it won't start at all? It's a cold winter day (below zero) Car started right up! I let it run for about 2 minutes, I put it in gear and it just died. I figured it's cold out, not real surprising, but when I tried to start it again, it won't start!   • Should I pay off my truck? I'm 18 and just bought a steal of a deal truck for $8200 I'm talking 2005 Ford Ranger with 28,745 miles on it! I shelled out $5700 and have $2500 left with $182 interest fee. I make about a $1000 a week. Being as i had to consign with my Dad for interest I have the money to pay my truck off quickly. Should I or should I wait for my 18 month term to end?
  • If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
