Hydraulic through carb meaning?
My buddy's ford 460 had a couple stuck valves causing this? (His mom had it checked by a mechanic or something a while back. What does this mean? We're hoping it's not a hydro-locked engine.
HI, Mechanic quack… Stuck valves well not cause hydro-lock. Lots of water entering the carb OR a blown head gasket can cause hydro-lock. If it hydro-locked it would not turn over and it may have bent a rod (motor would need rebuilt) Pull the spark plugs out and see if you can turn the motor over. Watch for any fluid that may squairt out.
Stuck valves and Hydro-locking are two entirely different issues.
- Where do i put in aw-46 hydraulic fluid in 1990 ford f600 dump truck? I believe it goes in somewhere under the dump box once lifted. is there a link to some specs that i could possibly print out so i can see where to fill it at?
- When i go to start my boat it shoots gas back up carb, it is 2300 holly? Just finished valve job, carb overhaul and gas still shoots out the carb.1996 302 ford motor, withholly 2 barrel carb. Keeps fouling the spark plugs from all the gas. What might cause that are where else should I be looking.
- What is this hydraulic hose? Does anyone know what this hydraulic hose is and where I might be able to find it for sale? Its to an old ford tractor believed to be model 753.
- What is a hydraulic pressure unit? Recently my husband and I got a code reader for our broken down 2007 Ford Freestyle SEL. The code it came up with was P0942, which is for a hydraulic pressure unit. I (nor my husband) have heard of this. I have looked it up with no luck. Does anyone know what they do and how much it would cost to fix?
