How to find exact color of my car?
I bought a used Ford Crown Victoria that originally a police car about a year ago from this dealership that repainted it with a brand new color. I have some marks on the car and I want to use the exact same color paint the dealership used. How do I know which paint color to order?
Since it's not the original color you are looking for, it may be difficult to find out, unless the dealership whom painted the car, has a file on the color they used.
A competent auto body shop should be able to match it.
As Parker says, a competent bodyshop/paintshop will be able to match exactly what the color now is, which may be different from the color applied after fading etc.
