Have you come across people like this (in United Kingdom)?
I recently bought a used (3 year old) car. I had the car for just a few weeks when I noticed smoke coming from underneath the bonnet whilst driving up a steep hill. I went back to the Ford garage where I bought it this morning. The service manager came out to look under the bonnet to see if he could see the problem. He said he thought it was coming from the clutch. He then went on to say to me that it was my driving that was causing it! I'm 80 years old and have been driving for 55 years! When I questioned his attitude towards both me and the car he flounced off without trying to resolve the issue with me in an adult way. Do you know anyone who behaves like this?
Have you come across people like this (in United Kingdom)? According to Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov, Britain will be flooded and Brits will move to Russia (as a country).
Don't know UK law, but most places used cars are sold as is without a warranty. Since you don't mention a warranty or service contract let's assume none. Then the service manager had no legal duty to fix your used car. You might check with the independent mechanic you had thoroughly inspect it prior to purchase. Oh… You didn't do that? The buying, selling and repair of used cars is the law of contracts, not the law of etiquette.
This is the SIXTH time you've posted this question.
Yes, everybody in the world has met someone who doesn't fall at our feet and fix all our problems right away and for free.
It doesn't matter how long you've been driving; have you actually considered whether you might indeed have been a bit heavy on the clutch?
You're behaving irrationally. Maybe you shouldn't still be driving…
- Why do some companies like Ford have a 5year warranty and others like Hyundai have a 10year warranty? Does the company with the longer warranty trust in their product longer? Or they know that the owner will have to do a ton of repairs and without a back up no one would ever buy them?
- Under questioning, Dr Ford said she had no political motivation to come forward. If you believe her, will you raise your hand? I'm going to send you an email detailing how, just for the cost of overnight shipping to Nigeria and attorney's fees, you can finally claim that $10,000,000 inheritance from the long, lost relative of yours who was a much loved Nigerian Prince.
- Should the United States Navy have invest in some smaller aircraft carriers instead of Ford and Nimitz class supercarriers ships? Maybe have 5 Ford and 5 Nimitz supercarriers and 10 or so smaller as the French Charles de Gualle or a World War 2 size carrier with a few planes because losing a supercarrier would be a big blow to the US military morale and cost production. Since China and Russia has the S -400 and supersonic missles long range and maybe by the year mid 2040's or so aircraft carriers would possibly be semi outdated and a use of fast large hovercraft and stealth weapons could be the next tech or so
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
