Should the United States Navy have invest in some smaller aircraft carriers instead of Ford and Nimitz class supercarriers ships?
Maybe have 5 Ford and 5 Nimitz supercarriers and 10 or so smaller as the French Charles de Gualle or a World War 2 size carrier with a few planes because losing a supercarrier would be a big blow to the US military morale and cost production.
Since China and Russia has the S -400 and supersonic missles long range and maybe by the year mid 2040's or so aircraft carriers would possibly be semi outdated and a use of fast large hovercraft and stealth weapons could be the next tech or so
In their entire history how many of those Ford or Nimitz class carriers have actually been sunk? It's a whole lot easier to threaten that than to actually do it.
They have very good self defense and are surrounded by anti missile cruisers with long range of point of defense systems
If anything, More Cruise missile subs might be called for as they can project a lot of power a long way at no risk to our own sailors lives. However sometimes you need a but in the seat and eyes in the helmet
Because it is isolated and intent on battles far away from the USA as it always has WW1 AND WW2 were never fought on USA land just one bombing raid in Pearl Harbour the USA can never use these battle machines they will be blown out of the water with the USA today its a caveman waving his club and pretty prehistoric its 2019 we self distruct or disarm there's no other choice its not rocket science BOOM AND THE AMOUNT OF CRAZY SHOOTERS is an alarming death wish tendancy
The bigger carriers are a better fit for today's needs to provide air support with more range and more planes in far off destinations. Trying to start a new cold war with China and Russia will only bankrupt the country. You are not even touching what would be required in that type of war. You are talking about a war of nuclear missiles that would probably be mostly won or lost within a week depending on which country loses the most cities the quickest.
There are no long range supersonic missiles, other than ICBM's
and ships could move up to 20 miles between launch and getting to the area

- Do some car batteries that would fit a 1995 Ford Taurus SW have a smaller body/core than others? I recall that the last time I had a battery installed at Les Schwab they had a rough time getting it to fit properly. Took nearly two hours. Would it be possible to ask for a battery that is physically a bit smaller this time--or are they all exactly the same size?
