With the information you provided I can give you 50 reasons the car will not start. But I don't have time to list all of them.
Just putting gas in a vehicle should have no ill effect. You failed to describe the problem you're having. What's happening? "Not starting" is kind of vague.
Nothing causes that except that it is a Ford.
- Not having an engine
- Not having a starter
- Not having a fuel line
- Not having spark plugs
- Not having pistons
- Not having a battery
- And many more
When people top up the gas tank too much the extra gasoline gets into the charcoal canister which is meant to only hold fums. Then that gas gets sucked into the motor through the purge valve and floods the motor. Hold the gas pedal all the way down to the floor when staring it with a warm motor.
Go to a mechanic and have the charcoal canister inspected for being flooded with gasoline.
- My 1996 ford ranger will not start right away after filling up with gas? I turn the key and the starter just keeps trying to catch but engine never does. I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines and sensor in the fuel tank. Spark plugs and wires, alternator, timing belt, starter and battery are all less than a year old. I don't let the gas tank get below a quarter of a tank.
- 2014 Dodge Dart vs 2014 Ford Fusion? Only ppl who know about cars or own one of the two! And if you can please specify which model. I just want to know which is better from looking at specs or tell me what you think if you own one!
- 2014 Chevy Impala or 2014 Ford Fusion or Taurus? It's going to be for college so I need a good reliable car that will last me a while which one would be best? Or Kia Optima
- Easy/cheap way to make my 2014 Ford focus se sedan hold 20-30 gallons of gas instead of just 10? No Jerry/gas cans I want to be able to get in and drive and not worry about it, any input greatly appreciated
