My car is making a squeaking noise by front wheel well?
I have a 2006 ford fusion. It has been making a high pitch pulsing squeaking noise by the front passenger side wheel well. I only hear it when the car has been driving for a while and is warm. It seems to quiet when i brake, but returns when i let up off the brake. I don't believe it is the brake pads or the rotors. The brake pads have 90% left and the rotors were resently resurfaced. The noise was present before replacing them and is still present.
Added (1). Not sure if it is related but my drive belt also makes a chirping noise upon start up when the engine is cold. I replaced the belt not too long ago. It stopped making noise for about a month then started again. It makes noise for only about 2 minutes in the morning then its good until the car has cooled completely off. Is it possible that the two could be related? Could one of the pulleys be bad causing it to make noise upon startup and the noise that I'm hearing by the wheel wheel when warm.
Good Lord… All these idiots that think they are helping! Any one that has any experience with doing brakes knows in a second you're hearing the brake pad indicators! They are supposed warn you that you need brakes. If you don't get them replaced the next noise you hear will be WHEN you step on the brake pedal and it will be the rotors getting chewed up because there's no brake pad left.
I recommend taking your Fusion to the nearest Ford Dealer to be diagnosed. Our certified technicians will be able to advise you of the next steps to reach a resolution.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Sounds like the rear shield is bent and rubbing and the wheel bearing slop is trued up when you brake.
Sounds like it could be a bad wheel bearing! When you hit the brake then your slowing the car down and the wheel bearing slows down also and then you don, t hear it until you pick up speed again! Have someone you can trust to check the wheel bearings out!
You could have a caliper sticking and if you had the rotors resurfaced they should have put new brakes pads on
There could be dirt in the disks. It happened to me good luck man.
- My car is making noise when I turn the wheel, what could be causing it? I put power steering fluid in and double checked it to make sure it was full, which it is. But whenever I turn the wheel it still makes a terrible noise, i almost want to not drive it anymore just because of that noise. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Is it the power steering pump maybe? If it helps, my car is a 2001 Ford Mustang, FWD. The noise is coming from the front of the car.
- Screeching noise from front left wheel on a 2013 Ford Focus SE - what is it? Cars got 30k miles on it. Its still has 6k miles until factory comprehensive coverage ends so I'm not persay worried, but I would like to fix this problem myself if its a simple fix and not expensive rather than take it to the dealership. I ain't got much experience with cars so I want to expand my skillset. Here is a youtube video for the noise. Sorry for the wind, its very windy today in Colorado.
- Ford fiesta 2002 mk6 drivers side front wheel squeaking? Its not when i brake its when i get to about 15 mph slowing down and speeding up from stationary i have new brake pad and have had the wheel bearing replaced any idears?
- Why is my 2003 ford f150 make a.squeaking noise when i turn on the ac? I have a 2003 ford f150 v6 4.2 and when I start it up the serpentine belt squeals, only for about 2 seconds then it stops. The only other time it makes that noise is when I turn on the a/c. I was told it could be the tensioner, but I don't want to just buy the part without getting other opinions.
