How to transport a lawn mower? - 1

Added (1). I'm starting a very small lawn mowing business, more of just mowing a few lawns every week. I drive a ford fusion and it doesn't have a hitch, I know you can add a hitch (150-200$) and then to find a trailer could be hundreds of dollars, is there a simpler solution?

Added (2). (trying to spend as least money as I can)****

Using a lawn mower trailer.

Well, if you want to transport something using a car, you have three choices: put the item inside, put it on top, or pull it behind. I don't know about you, but I'd have trouble getting the average lawnmower on top of a car, never mind off again. Pulling behind generally involves a trailer. I guess you could probably tie it onto the back and pull it behind that way, but I wouldn't be too sure it would arrive in one piece, lawnmowers not being designed to travel at 30 mph and more on city streets, plus I think the cops would probably stop you and tell you to use some sense and maybe give you a ticket.

See if it's possible to remove the upper part of the handle. May make it easier to put in a truck. IF it's a smaller one. You didn't elaborate.

How far do you have to travel? If it's not all that far then ride the mower there and carry extra gas. There's a fellow here in town that rides his mower all over the place pulling a wagon behind it with gas, trimmer, etc.

Of course if you have four miles or more to go one way it's probably best to get that trailer you were talking about.
