Best, most reliable car out of these three?
Once summer starts and I'm done for the year at school (21 year old college student) I'm going to buy myself a car in the $20-25k range. I've worked very hard for my money and have saved up alot to help pay for college and many other things. I deserve a nice car. Haha anyways right now the top 3 on my list are Nissan Maxima, Ford Fusion, and Chevy Malibu. You can get one of these from the 2012-2015 range with the upgrades and less than 40,000 miles. What are your opinions? I love the Maximas, they are slick looking and my mom has one and I love it. But they do not get good gas mileage (22mpg). Opinions? Also I live in IL so i have to deal with snow, another reason I like the Maxima

Also I live in IL so i have to deal with snow, another reason I like the Maxima To be honest with you, I'm a student and if I needed basic transportation I wouldn't spend more than $5000-$7000 tops for a reliable car. Out of the three, the Maxima may have a slight edge over the Malibu. Impalas have gotten better since the last redesign. I would personally go for a Mazda 6 or Hyundai Sonata both of which have a better track record. If you really care about fuel economy, downsize to a compact. I'd go with the Malibu. Go see the local stereo installer… Mazda 3 or 6.

- What is the most reliable car brand? I know how long a car runs/how reliable it is, all has to do with the owner and how well said car is maintained… But generally, what car brand (eg Ford, Toyota, Chevy) lasts the longest, is the most reliable?
- What are the most reliable cars you can think of? I want something relatively new, but it doesn't have to be brand spanking new. So far I was thinking a Volkswagen Jetta. I was also liking Subaru, but I don't know whether the impreza or legacy is better. I also like Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis'. Are Jeep wranglers reliable as well? Mention any car you like and why, Hmu with your best suggestion!
- What are the most reliable car brands and which ones should I avoid? I'm looking to get a used car. I have even heard about two lesser known Japanese brands, Subaru and Suzuki, but I'm a bit skeptical of Suzuki in particular. I'm honestly not a supporter of Mitsubishi and Mazda. I would not say having AWD/4WD is necessary for me. It is not very snowy where I live. The reason I said that I do not like Mazda was because it used to be partnered with Ford and I do not like American car companies. I'm not so keen on German cars.
