2013 Ford Fusion SE. Bad FCIM module?

So, I own a 2013 Fusion, it started by showing a message on the screen that said. "system off to save battery" I checked the battery and the battery tested good and I even tried a newer battery but nothing changed, things went from bad to worse because the radio now doesn't even come on! I took it to the Ford dealership to get it diagnosed and they told me I have a bad FCIM and that needs to be replaced and reprogramed and it would cost me over a $1000! That really sucks!
so, here are my questions;
Could I use a used one from like used auto parts, but if it needs to reprogram how do I do that?
Where is it located and what does it look like?

Any information will be very appreciated.

$1000?

That's how much I paid for littering last week. I got pulled over, the officer wrote me up, and I went downtown to make the payment.

Replace the head unit, replace the battery, and get your alternator checked.

  • Bad fuel pump or bad Mass Airflow sensor? My truck us having very hard time starting up. It cranks over, putters and shakes really bad then dies. Once it finally becomes drivable, it almost stalls when accelerating from a stop or turning right Could this be a bad fuel pump, bad MAF, or another failing part? Truck is a 2006 ford ranger
  • What should I buy and why? 2013 ford fusion it 2013 civic coupe? I like the sporty edge of Both the coupe and fusion, but they're very different cars. I'm a male. Want gas mileage
  • Max out my 2013 ford fusion performance? Ok so I wanna turn my 2013 ford fusion into a beast! Or at least as much of a best that it can become lol. Yea I know it is a ford and yea I know it's a fusion. More Eco then anything huh? So I don't really need brands or anything. I just wanna know what to add how to make it roar with a deep growl. Look I'm not expecting much. But I want whatever I can get. So someone, please help
  • Is the oil for a 2013 Ford Fusion synthetic only? Just went to Pep Boys and wanted a conventional oil change on my car, which takes 5W-20. Apparently their records state that they "can only legally put in synthetic oil" since it's what the manufacturer recommends. The last time I was here they did it with normal oil, no problem. Did I just get screwed?
