2012 Ford Fusion SE transmission issue?
A while back I started driving from a complete stop and my car wouldn't shift to a higher gear. I pulled over, made sure I was in drive not low, put the car in neutral and attempted to drive again. It drove and shifted however the car seems to have less power and shifts later than before this happened.
Any idea why this happened, and/or if I need to have a repair done and what that repair would be?
The car has almost 87,000 miles.
Hi this sounds like case of someone who has no idea what a gearbox is for.
A "while back?" Very nebulous. Any idea "why this happened?" Really? "What the repair would be?" Triple really? Do just refuse to use professional auto repair technicians?

Hi i have this higher rpm at start in my 10year old ford card… Where my rpm raises to 3000 at the time of start. i now have a transmission problem and that requires rebuilt. is ther a relation between this higher rppm at start issue and eventually failure in transmission,. could the higher rpm issue might have caused the transmission failure.

Travel trailer to live in over the next year or two It's just my husband and I. Is this something that could be worked out and if so how? Or would is it cause a financial loss to me? Is it more trouble than it is worth? Seeking knowledgeable responses please.
