2010 Ford Fusion AC problem?

I have been having an issue with the A.C. On my 2010 Ford Fusion. Sometimes when I get in my car and start it up, the A.C. Blower will not go on. After trying a bunch of things like turning the motor off and on again and messing with the A.C. Controls, the only thing that fixes the issue is time. I will be driving for about 10 min and all of a sudden the air will blast on as if I just turned it on. Once it goes on, it will stay on for the duration of the drive. This issue started out only happens about 1/4 of the time, but now it happens every time I get in the car. I thought it was the resistor, but I replaced that and it did not fix the issue. Any ideas?

Could still be a bad fan switch or loose wiring connections, loose ground wire for motor, a bad fan relay if so equipped, etc… Test for power and good ground at the motor and power at the switch as you operate the controls and go from there. Wiggle wires at the motor or switch/resistor as you operate the fan switch to see if it's loose wiring.

  • Would you buy a 2010 Ford Fusion with 92k miles? I'm not a car person but I love the body style on the 2010 ford fusion. I also want a hybrid. I found one at the a good price but a lot of friends are saying it would not be a good idea buy a american car (ford) and a hybrid with that many miles. Any advice from people who know about cars?
  • Where to mount a cobra 25ltd classic cb in a 2010 ford fusion? I just bought a cobra cb radio, but don't know where to mount it. My car is some what small, it's an auto matic with the auto shifter in between the front seats. The only place I may be only to mount it is up on top of the dash where I have a flip up storage compartment. Where should I properly mount it and how should I wire it with out shorting out something or tearing up my car, my wife would kill me if I did.
  • Are the original facrory installed 2010 ford fusion SE V6 brake pads ceramic? I know the mototcraft pads are organic, part #br1164-b. The ford genuine part number # br1164. Just curious if the 1164 is ceramic.
  • 2010 ford fusion se 4 cylinder 2005 dodge stratus sxt 2.7 v6 Or 2005 ford expedition 5.4 v8? What one would you choose and why? I have a choice from these three and don't know, all are in decent shape and all need a little bit of work done (all easy work) all are available and are family vehicles. So the easy work hasn't been done because it's not entirely important.
