Ford modular 2v to 4v swap questions?

I have a 2006 mercury grand marquis as my daily driver. Car is actually pretty peppy for what it is however its still a bit under what i would like it to be. I've played around with the idea of turbo chargers and superchargers but all are pretty expensive and id have to custom fabricate most items as they don't really make kits for panther bodies. So i thought why not swap in the 4v that was in the marauder/cobra/mark8/etc? Since this car already came with the 4v in the form of the marauder i know the engine shouldnt have any problems with fitment to the bell housing and mounts. However, the wiring. Would the 2v wiring harness be able to run the 4v motor without any other modifications besides an ecu tune/ replacement with the 4v's unit?

You might check Summit on the internet, to see if they have any "plug and play" 4bl carbs and manifolds for your car. Otherwise, go to AutoZone and lookup the shop manual for your car. Look at the wiring diagram for the carburetors, to see the difference.

The 4V isn't going to have much more power, it would be a complete waste of time and money to do this swap.

If you really need a more powerful car then sell your car and apply the money to something with more power, or at least something that comes stock with a turbo and has more options for aftermarket mods.

But you'll hardly even notice the power difference between the 2V and 4V engines.
