Ford GT as first car? 2004 or 05 model?

So I'm a orthodontist and just got out of college a year ago and I have been working since then and I need to buy a new car as the old car my parents got me is dying out. I want a car that will also compete with the looks of my co workers cars too. (They have sports car and huge SUVs) I never drove a v10, but have been taking driving courses with a v8 so I'm fairly good at controlling a big engine.
I also am open to any other suggestions on cars you guys have, want a low to the ground car with a moderately wide stance though

First of all, the ford gt has a v8, not v10. And i would highly suggest not getting a supercar as a first car. Not the best idea, that can be very dangerous. Assuming you're serious and not just kidding around with us.

The biggest problem you will face with the Ford gt is the gas mileage. I have a few friends who have owned the GT and honestly the combined mileage is around 4-5 mpg. But that is what you get with a supercar. And honestly, for someone who just got out of college, a Ford gt doesn't really make sense. You should be saving your initial salary in order to prepare to settle down and build a family. Consider getting a cheaper car that is decent, attractive and that doesn't hurt your wallet. With a Ford gt in your possession, you will be spending more time at gas station than on the road impressing people. Based on your age and economic status, I would consider getting a fancy bmw, maybe an m6, or some sort of similar head turning car that is not as expensive. For someone straight out of college, a normal budget is around $30K, but even up to $50K, sounds fine. But to get something that people normally buy in their 50s after saving up, that is a little absurd

A Ford GT is a serious car. You need to either be an extremely competent driver, or a very careful driver to handle it. You will most likely be tempted to go fast and see what it will do. Be careful. And consider the cost of maintenance before buying any vehicle. A car like that will require a dealership to change the oil or fix any problems that arise. You couldn't just take it to the local jiffy lube or shade tree mechanic. It also holds a LOT of oil; expensive, full synthetic oil. Be prepared to spend $100-$200 dollars every 5000 miles just for an oil and filter change. Not to mention when you need a tune up, you will buy twice as many spark plugs and wires as the guy in the Toyota in the next lane. There are a lot of costs to buying expensive cars other than the sticker price. Just something to consider.

That's impressive, just 5 months ago you were 16 years old and concerned about the legalities of driving a 150cc scooter, as we can see here

And now you're out of college and an orthodontist who is mulling over a $125k-150k car. Going from a scooter to a 550 HP supercar in 6 months time, wow. But when you complete 8 years of college by age 16, I guess anything is possible.

Nissan 350z (z33) or a Honda s2000 (ap1, ap2). They more reliable and they can take corners without rolling over or crashing into a wall.
