Manual transmission noise?

So I just bought a 2003 ford focus svt. The shifter when moved makes a weird clunking noise even if the car is off with or without the clutch applied. I believe it to be the linkage. Hoping some one can shed some light on this. Also wanting to know if anyone has ever owned an svt and if they liked it.

The plastic bushings are bad or broken in the linkage

Hi so what to expect from a 12 year old car number one 93% of it's original power has since left it. As it has covered well over the 100k miles it was intended to last. That would have been at 8 years old. So it is now living on borrowed time no matter what mods to had done when new. So not a lot of good wear is the key to this issue sunshine.

  • Ford Ranger manual transmission? I'm 5'7" and do you think I ll be able to reach the clutch fine? Because since it's a bench seat you can't move It up
  • 1990 Ford Ranger manual transmission? I'm 5'7" and looking at a 1990 Ford Ranger. I have not yet seen it in person but since there are bench seats do you think I ll sit comfortable and reach the clutch fine etc?
  • Can you get a 2015 ford mustang and Chevy camaro in automatic transmission instead of manual transmission? Hi, I'm thinking about buying a 2015 ford mustang or Chevy camaro. Both of the cars come in manual transmission! Is it possible to get it in automatic transmission instead? Can I just ask the dealer (dealership) to give me the car with automatic transmission or do I have to change it myself?
  • Noise works, but when I push it, it also makes a clicking/rattling noise? I have a 2012 Ford Focus, and while the horn works, and sounds (as it normally does), when I press it, it also makes a weird clicking/rattling noise (also kinda like a jingle sound - hard to describe). It sounds as if it's coming from behind the center console/under the center console, but it's hard to tell. Any ideas what it could be? With any answers - any advice on how to fix it? Question should say HORN Works
