Is the 2008 mazda 3 reliable / a good car?

I just got rid of an 06 ford focus due to reliability issues, it ran me up to $2000 in repairs when I hadn t even owned it for a full year. I don't want a repeat of that so I was wondering if anyone has had experience with mazdas and whether they re the better quality ford cars or if they re more reliable then a focus? I'm possibly buying it.

As per customers reports Mazdas are pretty good cars, that have a high level of reliability, which is always nice. All around the 3 is a great car for someone who truly enjoys driving and needs a reliable, fuel-efficient, safe daily driver.
