Is $20,580 a fair price for a 2014 Ford Focus?
My 3 year lease just ended for a 2014 Ford Focus. My lease total was $4564 and I made a $3100 down payment at the time I got the lease. I purchased the car recently for $12,916.
Is this a good deal, bad deal, fair deal, etc?
***note--The purchase price includes taxes and all the fees.****
Fair or not, the lease-end purchase price is the part of the original price of the car that you haven't already paid, not counting finance charges. That's the way leases work. So, by buying the car at the end you complete the full purchase of he car.
You might find that the lease-end purchase price is higher than the current market value of the car, when means it's not a fair price in that sense, but on the other hand, it means you got a good deal on your lease -- your payments were less than they should have been due to the lease company over-estimating the lease-end residual value. Check the value of it on KBB.com (Kelly Blue Book) or on truecar.com. Here, Matt, you can find out for yourself.

No lease is fair, its a waste but that's water under the bridge.
Buying is usually the best way to compensate for a lease. Never put money down to lease Its a fair deal and the one you agreed to when you leased the vehicle. The lease allowed you to drive a new vehicle for about 1/2 the cost per month of a purchase for the same car.

- What's a fair price to pay for this car? I'm looking into buying a used car and came across a 2010 Ford Mustang GT. The car has 23,500 miles on it, cushion seats, and a 5l engine. What would you consider a fair price to pay for this car?
- Is the fair purchase price before incentives? I'm looking at a fordifferent mustang and it says fair purchase price of 23000. I have a benefit from working at target that says it takes an average of 2000 off a car. Does that mean that they get a deal with Ford? The guy at the dealership also said since I'm a student I get 500 off from Ford as well as a 750 incentive from Ford. So does that mean I can get this car for around 20000?
- Fair price for a fuel pump replacement? I had to tow my car to a shop for the first time ( i've never taken my car to a mechanic in my town before). They told me my fuel pump needed to be replaced, and that it would cost $581 parts and labor, on top of a $109 diagnostic fee. Is this a fair price? Basically I want to know if this is a good shop to continue to take my car to as I do not have a regular mechanic. My vehicle is a 2001 Ford mustang base model V6 3.8L, which unfortunately has a full tank of gas.
- 2014 Dodge Dart vs 2014 Ford Fusion? Only ppl who know about cars or own one of the two! And if you can please specify which model. I just want to know which is better from looking at specs or tell me what you think if you own one!
