I lost the key to my car and i don't have a spare?
I lost the key to my car about a few weeks ago and I don't have a spare can I get a key for my car? If so how can I? I have a 2000 Ford focus if that helps
Dealer, bring title, ID and lots of money
Your local Ford dealer can make you a key using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You will need proof of ownership (registration and/or title).
What Bill and Pedro said, expect to pay $200-300 for the new key depending on if you need a new wireless fob too.
- Lost my only key to my car. It's an 02 ford taurus station wagon and has a chip in the key? Ordered and blank key. Going to get it cut then have it programmed. I have an extra key that will unlock my doors but won't start the car because it doesn't have a chip and isn't programmed for my car. Can I use my key that unlocks the door to get it cut and then use my vin to have them program it?

- If I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner and have the key below could I use the standard key and remote? What I mean by standard remote and key is like the ones Ford, Mecury, and Lincoln came out with at first with just a remote and key. Also how would an extra key cost like the one in the picture above? Would it be cheaper to do the the standard key and remote?
- I have a 61 plate Ford Focus mk3 and I've noticed there's a hell of alot of water in the boot where the spare wheel is kept? The rear passenger side floor is also soaking wet so I don't know if these are connected or not. Hopefully someone's has experienced this before and can give me a clue to what it is.
