How much will my insurance be?

I'm 15 and turning 16 next month. I'm going to buy either a 2003 Saturn ion sedan, a 2004 ford focus sedan, a 2005 chevy malibu sedan. I get all A's in school, or a 2003 nissan Altima… How much should I expect to pay for insurance?

You'll want to pay cash for whichever vehicle you get. That way you don't need to purchase comprehensive or collision coverage, which is the most expensive parts to an auto policy. The liability coverage will cost the same on all cars.

It will be what insurance costs where you live. It will not be what it would be if you lived anywhere else in the world. Insurance companies do not charge the same price, close to the same price, or roughly the same price in different places. They charge over 10 times as much or less than 1/10th as much.

If you live where insurance costs $50, then you should expect to pay that.
If you live where insurance costs $10,000, then you should expect to pay that.

If someone tells you what insurance costs, and that person does not know where you live, then the person is telling you what insurance costs somewhere that you don't live, so you should not expect to pay that, because you live somewhere else.

On a stand alone policy, for liability only, about $3,000 a year for minimum coverage.
