Hand written letter from dealership begging for me to trade in my 2015 Ford Focus SE?
I just received a handwritten letter from my dealership. Partially typed letter and handwritten parts by someone that works there stating they really want my car to trade in.
This is the same dealership I originally bought my car from.
Anyone that went through this and what did you experience?
They make money when they buy and sell vehicles, it's just an attempt to do that.
Coincidence that I get letters from my dealer claiming they have a "high" demand for the specific make and model that I bought 5 years ago? I think not.
Hi so it's all about getting numbers of cars sold in a month quoted figures needed each month. They are not doing you any favours. Only trying to make them selves look good with Ford.
Everyone gets these letters if they've bought a car. I've even received letters and phone calls wanting my van as a trade-in. Hell, it isn't even paid for yet! They're just trying to sell cars. They don't know or care if you can afford another car.
Just a common tactic that all dealerships use to get you to trade in and buy another new car .Alot of people looking for used cars 1-2 years old with low mileage. Big savings for them.
Yes, my dealership does this all the time. It's a way to bring prior customers in to purchase another vehicle. I promise they are sending this to all their customers.
This is just another sales ploy. I get several of these every year from every dealership that I've done business with over the last 15 or so years.
The letter was neither typed nor hand written. It was all produced on a high speed printer and every customer of the dealership got an identical "personalized" letter.
Of course they want to to trade in your barely broken in 2 year old car as the want to sell you another one. If that's what YOU want (dumb move as you're taking it in the shorts on depreciation) then go for it. If not, just chuck it in the bin and get on with your life.
Its just a gimmick, of course they want you to trade in your vehicle because that means you'd be buying a new vehicle from them. They'll make a profit on your new purchase AND a profit when they resell your 2015 focus to someone else.
IT is a common practice for dealerships to bring potential customers into the showroom, by telling them there's a demand for their used car. Only you can decide if you want to sell your car. Keep in mind you will have to 'add' money to get a 2018 model. Dealers however, do have a demand for 2015 cars, and you could possibly get more money by selling it on your own. So, yes, it is an attempt on their part to make money off of you.
Don't do it **** them
- Why didn't Dianne Feinstein hand over Dr. Ford's letter to the fbi after she received and read it? Christine Ford is calling for an fbi investigation. You'd think she'd be smart enough to send that letter to the fbi, or at least ask Feinstein to do so.
- Trump mixed up the Star Spangled Banner - written during the War of 1812 - with the Revolutionary War. Anyone remember Obama saying? Henry Ford invented the automobile? Kinda comes with the territory of very long speeches, sweltering conditions and more distractions than most of us would dare tackle.
- 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback V6 or the 2015 Ford mustang 2.3L ecoboost? I'm trying to decide which of the two to get I heard online the eco boost is surprisingly a little faster then the V6 edition. it gets roughly 4 more MPG then the V6. the ecoboost will be about 1500 more then the V6 fast back lets assume its going to be my main vehicle. which one should I get and why? And which is superior? Your thoughts please. I'm not a gearhead so don't get too technical on me without using things I'll understand lol
- 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD or 2015 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe (4 cylinder). Which would you choose and why? Both are approximately the same price and offer many of the same options. The Ford, however, offers AWD, remote start, and somewhat better gas mileage. The Honda, though, is a car I absolutely adore.
