Ford Focus: GOOD or BAD car?
I want to purchase a 4 doors Ford Focus but people have told me that Ford Focus auto parts are very expensive and Ford Focus are not good car.
While Ford makes some nice performance sedans, that does not make them muscle cars or tuners. The ST version is impressive and there were some other SVT versions earlier but they fall into a class of cars called "Sleepers". Lets face it 252 hp in that light of a car is a force to be reckoned with. There are those who use them as tuner's, but out of the box it needs little and most of those that try improving it will ruin it. With the current model being assembled in Wynne Mi, it can't be considered an import in the US. The Ford Focus has above average overall quality and reliability. Replacement parts, and service and maintenance costs in general, are far less expensive than most all other automotive brands. Not the most reliable car but not the worst. What would steer me away is that they had problems with their brakes up to 05. Brakes are not something I would mess around with. Try a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic.

- My truck gets 23mpg, is this good or bad gas mileage? My daily driver is a 2003 Ford Ranger single cab, great truck and al for mel. It's a 4 banger, and I recently decided to calculate and find out how many miles per gallon it gets and it came out tp 23 miles per gallon, and I rarely drive on the interstate either. If that matters. Is my truck good on gas or is it a guzzler in your opinion?
- Bad fuel pump or bad Mass Airflow sensor? My truck us having very hard time starting up. It cranks over, putters and shakes really bad then dies. Once it finally becomes drivable, it almost stalls when accelerating from a stop or turning right Could this be a bad fuel pump, bad MAF, or another failing part? Truck is a 2006 ford ranger
- Is getting a lot of miles on a car actually bad for the car if the car is well taken care of? Back story: I have been using my car to visit a guy who lives about an hour away from me, and my mother has said that I "don't need to be putting all those miles" on my car. It is a well-taken care of Ford mustang with about 125,000 miles on it, and I have not noticed any issues at all. Cars are meant to be driven, in my mind. Is putting mileage on a care actually a bad thing, or is mother probably pulling an overprotective mother of an adult child?
- 16 MPG, is it good or bad? Is 16 MPG good or bad? I have ford focus 2007. I usually do not drive over 45. If it is bad what do I have to do?
