Ford Focus 2004 Passenger side mirror unattached?

The passenger side mirror fell off, does anyone know quick ways to temporarily reattach, even in the cold? It's only holding by a few wires. Would it damage it if I were to drive it with it hanging? (Currently an average of 20 degrees Fahrenheit)

The side mirror is held on with some screws. If it is dangling it is likely to be broken. Same labor but with a junkyard replacement. Getting the trim is often a secret without breaking it and you can use any hints you can get from manuals or mechanics.

Look at where the 3 bolts attached to the mirror that held it on. Are the studs still in the door? I've removed the studs and thrown them out. Then drill the 3 holes in the door so an over sized bolt can be put through the holes and screwed into the mirror to snug it back up to the door frame.
After asking if it's OK to drive with the mirror hanging from the wires and banging up the side of the car I question whether you are capable of fixing anything.

If you just want a temporary fix for it to not flop around long enough for you to source a new mirror assembly to replace it, then good old fashioned duct tape (duck tape, gorilla tape or whatever they call it in your neck of the woods) will keep it from flopping around short-term. If it's really cold when trying to do this, bring a hair dryer with you to warm the area up so the tape will stick. Then get a new or junkyard sourced mirror assembly and replace it when you can.

I wouldn't drive it around with the mirror just hanging by a wire, you risk not only damaging the door and the paint, you risk the mirror just falling off entirely at speed and damaging someone else's car. You definitely don't want to pay for the new mirror and someone else's damages too.

Hi no apart from putting in a bag and hanging it by the handles in side the car.
