Hi. Ford focus 1.8 estate (2008) while running it has lost power with dash alarm saying Engine Mulfuction and then Brake lights out?
Is it normal that due to the Brake lights out it will prevent the engine from running for security reasons? After 30-25 minutes the car has started again
We had a car based on a Ford Focus that started showing random errors and disabling random functions. It turned out to be loose connector to the EMU, just above where the front passengers feet can easily knock it.
- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?

So yesterday when I was driving my ford focus 08 and stopped at a light, the exhaust started smoking. When I revved more it smoked more, but it was also smoking on idle a little. The CEL check engine lights are blinking slowly when I start up the car. What could this be? I was thinking spark plugs and/or ignition cables.

- Dash lights and gauges on 2008 ford Escape turn off while driving? While driving my vehicles dash lights and gauges turn off and drop to 0. If I hit or tap the dash everything goes back to normal. If the vehicle is shut off in this state it will not start unless I hit the dash in the 'start' position to get thr lights on then turn it to off then it starts fine. Becoming increasingly worse. What could be causing this?
