Car is breaking down and I still owe money on it?
So I have a 2014 Ford Focus with the **** automatic transmission. I have problems with it and its just getting worse and worse. I'm currently on wait at the Ford dealer to fix my car for 4 months. They can't fix it for FOUR months (something about the parts being on back order for 16 weeks)! I don't think it will last four days let alone four months! I need my car for work but I'm scared I will break down and I owe more on the thing to just trade it in. I'm not sure what to do but I can't keep this car. I've only had it for 15 months and it has 18 thousand miles.
Have you tried asking for a loaner? Have you tried a different dealer? Might google your states lemon laws, see if you have any, if dealers won't do anything, try an attorney.
- Suspension creaking/moaning over bumps or breaking at low speeds? My 2004 Ford falcon has a bad moaning/creaking sound come from the front left of the car when going over small bumps or breaking what could this be?
- 1977 Ford F-150 truck, distributor stuck to 351 engine. How to remove without breaking off? One mechanic thought it was merely stubborn, tried hammer plus large flathead screwdriver; no luck. His assistant said it may be galvanically corroded to the engine. Have you had a similar occurrence that you resolved? Any ideas will be appreciated.
- Vehicle bearings keep breaking? On my 1998 Ford expedition the front driver's side wheel bearings keep breaking. I have replaced them twice to no avail what could cause this? The only thing I can think of is that the dust cap is loose and grease is leaking out but I'm not sure if this would cause bearing failure. 1998 Ford Expedition XTL 2wd 5.4L V8
- Hunting: I got another rental SUV. Mine is still not repaired. Waiting on insurance still? I'm going to trade it in once it gets fixed. It's not as nice since it's a 2010 Expedition. My rental 2019 Cadillac Escalade is $98,000! We may get a AUDI, or another Ford Expedition once we trade the old one in. Need a new one anyways, so they say we will get up to $10,000 after it's all fixed.
