Are the new Ford Focus really as good as the Corolla or is the dealer just trying to get a sale?

FORD thinks they are. I'm sure that Toyota would argue the point…
Ford has started making nice cars over the years. In terms of style and being "fun to drive" I would choose Ford. However, in terms of reliability Ford does not have a strong record compared to Toyota.
If you look at reliability ratings, then no, they aren't better---they might look better and drive better however.
The worst cat I have had for reliability was my Toyota.
If broke down 3 times in 8 years.
One weak item was the manual shift cables. The end fell off a common issue. The cables were expensive and 8 hours labour to fit as the whole dash had to come out.
My wife loves her Ford.
Yes they are.
I think I read that Consumer Reports said good things about the Focus.
But I'm not sure its better than Toyota or Mazda.
All salesman are trying to get sales, all the time.
Its that good. But of coarse the salesman wants the sale. Thats what they do.
- Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
- 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough? 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough until completely warm, we replaced 4 coils and at first it helped but has returned just as bad.
- My dad just brougth me a corolla imstead of mustang gt? I'm geting tha brand neuw 2019 ford mustang gt which is my dreem car and I won't tha car so bad but my dad ghot me a corolla in myy 16th berthday and I hait it, what shood I doo?
- Looking to get a used car around 2014-2015, Camry, Corolla, or Fusion Hybrid? I had a 2008 camry hybrid but some lady totaled it. Loved that car, but I always thought it was a little too big, although the storage space was great. Now I'm looking to get a new one, I like all three… I don't want another hybrid really, but the Ford Fusion Hybrid looks real nice with better gas mileage than my Camry hybrid did…
