How to finally register a vehicle and pay sales tax?

I bought a car 2002 Ford Taurus in the summer of 2016 it broke down but it was registered and I got played and everything then when I broke down I went a leased a car through a dealership a 2013 Ford Focus in October of 2016 I haven't been really driving the car except up the street to the grocery store and back home (less than a mile) because I haven't been able to afford to register it and get plates and insurance. Currently the plates from my Ford Taurus are on the Ford Focus and I've never been pulled over I even drove 12 hrs to another state for Christmas and wasn't pulled over presumably because my Ford Taurus is still registered and nobody paying attention to the model of the car. Now here it is January of 2018 I bought the car in October of 2016 how do I go about getting it registered and plates transferred and paying sales tax. What all do I need? And can I still do it after so long? I haven't been driving the car except for that one long trip for Christmas and i've finally think I've saved enough for it all

Just go to the BMV. The will set it straight.

Nice novel, but you forgot to mention where you friggin' live. Dumbass.

Simply take the signed over title, and bill of sale, of the Taurus to your unnamed state's DMV for title transfer and vehicle registration. Be sure to bring your proof of current insurance coverage for the Ford as well. The DMV will ding you a bit for late registration but that's only going to be a few bucks more than the standard title transfer and registration fee of whatever your freaking mystery state normally charges.

You will have to pay back taxes & fees. The tag from the taurus is NOT valid on the other car and if you get stopped you will get an expensive ticket.

And chances are you didn't lease a 2013 model. Unless it was a buy here pay here lot.

The answer to your unbelievable poorly written, mostly incomprehensible "question" depends on the Country/State? Province that you failed to mention.

Please go to or stay in school and concentrate especially on English.

Take title and old registration paperwork to DMV and pay fees. You may also be required to have a safety/emission inspection performed depending on your state's requirements.
