Can you drive a Ford f150 without a computer?
A late model F-150? No. It will not run.
The computer has supplied the spark for engines for a long time. Late 70's.
Certainly you CAN… If you can get the engine to run. There are LOTS of old F-150s out there that don't use computers.
Not legally.
One from the 70's and 80's? Sure. A modern F-150? No chance. The fuel pump won't even get power unless PATS (computer driven) gets a signal from a coded key.
Yes, but you'll need a carb and old C4 tranny
- Why does my car rev high all the time and drive without me touching the gas? It revs at stop lights and when sitting idle at drive throughs, and when I'm driving highway speed. It'll rev up to almost 3000 rpms especially in idle. It is a ford Taurus 2005 with 99,700 mi on it.
- Performance Camshafts safe to drive without a tune? I just installed some Ford hot rod camshafts in my 2010 mustang GT and also have shorty headers, a cold air intake, cat back exhaust, and 24 lb ford racing injectors and was wondering if it is safe to drive for 2 weeks without a tune, my dyno appointment isn't until the 22nd
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
- If Graham is so upset about people making charges without evidence then why is he accusing Ford of lying without any evidence and the DNC? "putting her up to it" with no evidence for that claim either? Privately? Why? These are public hearings and a lifelong appointment. If somebody's going to speak up they'd better do it now.
