Tapping rattling noise after Service?

My car had a service a couple of weeks ago and then over the weekend it has started to make a tapping/rattling noise when the engine gets warm. The noise eventually disappears after driving for a while. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue? It is a Ford Fiesta

If all you want to know is if someone else had the same thing then I will say I did. So now your good to go nothing to worry about because it has happened to someone else. What a way to go through life.

Have you checked the service done? Oil level?

I own a garage. The good news is it can't be that bad. Or the noise would not disappear… Take it back to garage

If your Fiesta was serviced at a Ford Dealer, I recommend taking it back to the same dealer. Ask to speak to the service manager. They'll be in the best position to assist, and answer your inquiries.

  • Truck makes clicking/rattling noise when in 4X4? I have to use an old '97 Ford Ranger with an auto tranny and auto locking hubs at my workplace. When you turn the electronic switch to 4X4 low or high and accelerate it makes a harsh rattling/clicking noise but the truck will still move. Does this mean the transfer case is shot and I will have to live with 2 wheel drive? Since I sometimes have to drive on grass trails it would be nice to get this thing fixed if it's a simple fix.
  • Rattling noise coming from passenger side possibly engine when going up steep hills, for ranger? I ave a 2007 ford ranger and recently when going up hills there has been a rattling noise that seems to come from the passenger side towards the engine or front of the truck. What could cause this? I also recently had an oil change, and they put 5w30 in instead of the recommended 5w20, could any of this be a cause?
  • My car makes a tapping sound that comes and goes? The other day I was driving my car and I felt a jolt then a loud knocking sound starting coming from the top of my engine. I checked my oil and I was really low so I parked the car out oil in the car. The starts up just fine but when I driving it makes a loud knocking sound that comes and goes. Like when I speed up it stops when I slow down it starts back up again. But it comes and goes as I'm driving. Does anyone have and idea on what it could be. My car is a 2000 ford mustang.
