Intercooler installation query in Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI(2009)?

I want to install intercooler in 1.4 TDCI ford fiesta, but there's no IAT(intake air temperature sensor) it has only MAF sensor which is beetween airfilter and turbo, so what if i put intercooler after tubro, how would engine senses change in intake air temp… What is meaning of puting intercooler after MAF?

Here is something out of the box, move the MAF sensor.
