If I hit a tree head on in a ford fiesta going about 70mph with out a seat belt on would I die on impact?

If I hit a tree head on in a ford fiesta going about 70mph with out a seat belt on would I die on impact?

Maybe but The scary part is what if you don't die on impact, what if you live in agony for a while or even days or weeks.

F=ma, so force of impact of your body towards the window would depend on body weight.

Maybe. I worked with a man who was one of 4 people in an early Mustang (no belts) that hit a concrete bridge abutment at 80 mph. Amazingly, everybody survived but with grievous injuries. Both front passengers were thrown through the windshield and the driver, the man's brother, smashed his face into the abutment.

Even with airbags and seatbelt a sudden stop from 70mph would kill you with the G force alone.

That depends on the tree. An oak is a hardwood and a pine is a softwood. Try the pine first.

Depends on the size of the tree.

Without a safety bag and head on you will surely die
if not, then definetely insane(not that i have experienced)

There's only one sure way to answer that question.

I'd bet you wouldn't 'walk' away from that one…

Are you planning a caper?

Youd better hope so!
