Yes
You can't determine mechanical condition by miles alone.
These are not 2 of the best cars under $6000.
But the Fiesta is better than the VW generally.
A lot of people will buy a Honda or Toyota with many more miles for similar prices because they have better reputations. I bought a low mileage Mazda which I consider almost as good, certainly not materially worse.
But, low mileage is a premium. My car is worth $900 more than a car with average miles. Its worth $3200 more than a car with 120,000 miles.
(2012 Mazda3)
But with low miles, you have to determine if the miles are correct because while rolling back miles is illegal, it can be very profitable.
Buy both of them.
Get a Honda, Mazda or other similar class vehicle.
Research reviews extensively before you buy because you will be hearing from countless others who have experienced the vehicles in question.
- 94 Ford ranger should I buy for 800$? It has rust repaired nicely on body, runs great, standard trans, but has NO power steering it is the base model with absolutely no extras and was bought this way. Tires are size 14. Wondering if I should pick this upnor not as I know very little about trucks and have never driven standard or without power steering but the price seems good for a truck and I need one.
- Are Volkswagen good cars? I got into an accident recently and am searching for a good car. I like the VW, and the one I'm looking at is a 2011 VW Jetta gasoline engine and has a manual transmission and has 120,000 miles. I've heard really good about them and really bad. I'm a car enthusiast so it's an nice step from my 2012 Ford Fusion which also was reliable. I'm 17 so I can just go crazy with price but this one is 5k. Should I go for it or get something Japanese?

- Is 43,000 miles a lot for a 2011 Ford Fiesta SE? I'm looking into buying a used 2011 Ford Fiesta SE but don't know if 43,000 miles is a lot for it or not? How long will this car last me? Also is 9,980 a fair price for it?
