READ the owner's manual and use the grade and type of oil that's recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Read the Owners Manual to check the type of oil it takes. Putting the wrong oil in your vehicle can damage parts, cause leaks and have other effects.
Fully synthetic oil will protect your engine much better than standard mineral oil. 5w-30 will be ideal. Large supermarkets sell their own brand at affordable prices.
Just think, If you had read the owners manual before asking, you'd know the answer already.
Forget any fancy oil, just use regular oil that's on sale - all motor oil must pass the same API inspections, so it does not matter if you buy oil labeled as walmart brand or shell
Full synthetic or synthetic blend 5W-20 That meets WSS-M2C945-A Ford spec… It'll be written right on the oil bottle label…
- What kind of Synthetic Oil does Ford use? GM recommends Dexos in all newer GM s. Does Ford have a specialty oil that they recommend/prefer? Especially something that won't void a warranty
- Is the 1995 Chevy s10's regular cab bigger than the 1996 Ford Ranger's regular cab? I always heard that Chevy trucks have more cab room than old Ford trucks. I'm just thinking if a Chevy s10's regular cab is bigger then the Ford Ranger's regular cab. What's bigger and gives you more space? What smaller and hardly gives you any space?
- Is the oil for a 2013 Ford Fusion synthetic only? Just went to Pep Boys and wanted a conventional oil change on my car, which takes 5W-20. Apparently their records state that they "can only legally put in synthetic oil" since it's what the manufacturer recommends. The last time I was here they did it with normal oil, no problem. Did I just get screwed?
- What type of full synthetic oil to put in 2005 ford focus? I have a 2005 ford focus ST zx4 and need to add oil, this is the first time adding oil since I bought the car. All I know is that the previous owner used full synthetic. I have to add just about a quarter of oil until an oil change in a few weeks. I have heard that full synthetic 5w-30 or 5w-40 is good but no lower than 5w-30 or I can take the chance of blowing up my car… Any thoughts on this?
