Do i need to register my mods if they are stock from other cars of the same make?
I just asked this same question for alloys and the answer seems to be that there's no need to register for alloys on a ford fiesta even if they are not stock to that car, so it got me thinking, is it therefore the same for all mods? E.g. If i got an exhaust from an other ford or ford racing seats, will i have to register them?
A reasonably clever lad would call his insurance company and ask.
Yes of course. It doesn't matter if they were standard on another car, If they didn't come standard on your car it is a modification (of your car). My advice? To be certain, ask your insurance company… Why wouldn't you?
modifications, not 'mods'.

- Why is it that when someone owns a Chevy/Ford/Mopar they feel the need to rip on every other brand of vehicle? I mean it's as if they were getting paid to advertise their opinion. Just because you're a loyal Ford fan boy doesn't mean that Chevys are complete garbage. I drive a Ford but I don't go around trash talking everyone who likes Chevys.
- Isn't it hard to force the EU to buy our cars? Ford announced they'll stop making regular cars, and they don't want our gas guzzling SUVs? Or huge trucks. That's what part of this trade war is about fyi, our products that they don't even want. Interesting, but 10% vs 2.5% isn't exactly earth shattering on cars. Plus that article's talking about OBAMA'S proposed free trade not Trumps.
- I have a Ford Fusion with a great working engine. Does this engine fit in other cars ala the Litter and Cylinder numbers are the same? I have a Ford Fusion 2009 that the body is kind of wrecked. So I'm looking for a new body. Does that has to be Ford Fusion or I can go for different ones? The engine is 2.3L/4Cylinders. I looked it up and Mustang and Mazda CX7 and etc have the same numbers.
- Do i need to register that my car has alloys on my insurance? I know that in theory yes but do i still need to if i put ford alloys on my fiesta even though they arent stock to that model? Cheers
