Cost to fit starter motor for 06 ford fiesta labour and parts?

I have an 06 ford fiesta (petrol) Has anybody an idea of the labour and parts cost to fit starter motor for 06 ford fiesta.

Ask a local garage but the best guess is about £2-300 incl VAT an an independent, more at a Ford dealer.

Hi that does depend on several factors genuine parts and a ford dealer could be 500 pounds. With a warranty on the parts and labour.

Please have your battery *load tested at any store other than Auto Zone where new ones are sold. A quick 15 second battery load test will tell you the reserve amperage capacity of the battery. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage. A battery can "appear" to be fully charged @ 12.6 volts yet have no amperage capacity.

A trusted private mechanic or Ford Dealer can do an inexpensive starter amperage draw test to see if it's good or bad.

If you actually do need a starter, crack your phone book in the automotive section for an AC-Delco dealer or distributor. Re-manufactured AC-Delco starters and alternators have a life-time warranty. Everything inside the re-used aluminum frame is brand new! This can't be said for box store junk.
