Which is a better first car? - 2
I'm 16 and I want an SUV or a pickup truck. I have driven vehicles from as small as a Corolla to as big as an F150. I really want a Ford. I'm debating between a 2002-05 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD or a 2000-03 Ford F150 Lariat 4WD (Supercrew). I'm not sure which one I like better. I live in an area where we get a lot of snow in the winter so it has to make it through the deep snow. I know people with F150s and they love them. That goes the same for the Explorer. I want a truck or SUV because I like a higher ride height.
Go with Ford Explorer!
How much $$ do you have to spend for all aspects of vehicle ownership, which includes: initial price, insurance, licensing, regular maintenance, fuel, emergency funds, etc, etc… Until you account for all of the expenses, it will do no good to even look at vehicles
I like Suvs too and trucks.
But the explore get really bad MPG. Gas costs too much now days.
You need something that gets really good MPG,
That should be on the top of your list when looking for a truck or SUV.
If you buy a gas hog, you will regreat it.
Google " edmunds.com " to see reviews of any year vehicle.
Maybe that will help you decide.
Best way to use edmunds is to google " edmunds.com 2002 ford explore ".
To see how much you should pay for it, click on " appraise " and fill in the miles on the truck, etc.
You will see reviews and also how much you should pay for it. So you don't over pay.
You would prob be happier with small 4 drive truck. With extra cab that gets good mpg.
It would give you more freedom, because it wouldnt cost as much in gas.
But if you have lots of $ for gas, then i guess it doesn't matter.
Both of the vehicals you want would be nice to drive
But remember, you won't get as good as MPG as the manufactures claim.
- Which car is the best first car? - 1 I'm 16 and I'm going to be saving up to buy a car. I want to spend $1000-$5000. I will likely have it all the way through college. I'm looking for comfort, safety, space (I'd be hauling my stuff to college), and winter capability. Here is what I like. -2000-07 Ford Taurus SEL -2000-07 Mercury Sable LS Premium -2005-07 Ford Five-Hundred Limited AWD Which one should I get? I'd like to stick with a V6 that's either FWD or AWD.
- Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from. Both have high mileage, like 350k on the ranger and 250k for the escape. Both have been serviced to a T. I really don't know which car would be best in the Long run. Meaning I don't know which one is most reliable and which one would be best for me and my use of maybe hauling my friends around. So which one do you think is the best choice?
- Which car is the better car all around? Ok, i'm looking to get a new car but after all, this is the hardest decision to make… Between the 2015 Ford Mustang. 2015 Camaro and 2015 Dodge Challenger… All v6 base models, i'm not trying to spend too much… I'm leaning towards the Mustang because our family gets a 2,500 discount on Fords and they have a rebate going on right now… If i wanted the Mustang now, I would only have to pay around 19,800 for a 26,000 car… Suggestions please
