What's wrong with my truck? - 1

Okay, I have an 1987 ford f150. Here recently I been having transmission trouble ( the last two days.) When I go to crank the car and put it into reverse it does it just fine but when I go to put it into drive it takes a minute or two to engage. Once the truck it warmed up the transmission is fine. Is it because the last two days have been cold and the transmission is old so it might need a little more time to get the fluids flowing? Its never done this before.

You answer your own question, you're having trouble with your 27 year old transmission.

  • Wrong sparkplug put in truck? I have a 93 ford ranger, for some reason thought it was a 97. Put sparkplugs in for a 97, not sure if that's bad or if the sparkplugs for the two years are pretty much the same. Been driving it around fine, just don't wanna do damage to it.
  • What's wrong with the truck? I went for a ride with my grandfather yesterday. He told me to drive on the way back. I've driven this truck a lot so I know how it feels and drives. The first thing I noticed was that the steering was loose and shaky feeling (wheel moves with bumps). It's usually tight and very responsive. I also noticed the brake pedal felt kind of squishy instead of firm. What's wrong with this truck? It's a 2000 Ford Ranger 4WD.
  • What do you think is wrong with my truck? I've a 2000 Ford Ranger and today for the first time it gave me trouble starting up. I had to crank it like three times before it actually started. The check engine light is on but I put coolant(and water) in it yesterday so it's not the coolant
